As the Founder and Chief Architect of Prevailing Educational Solutions, she leads with bold ideas and human-centered design to co-create transformative solutions for schools, leaders, and learning ecosystems across the nation.
By day, she serves as a professor preparing the next generation of school leaders. By night, she operates as an architect of prevailing solutions, working tirelessly to stay attuned to the field’s most urgent challenges while designing innovative, actionable paths forward. This dual lens keeps her grounded in both theory and practice, always pushing toward what’s possible.
With deep expertise in leadership development, equity-rooted innovation, and systemic redesign, Dr. Anderson is the trusted thought partner when education is stuck. Meet Mrs. Erica Weaver!
Site Director & Lead Teacher
Prevail Edventures Back-to-School Summer Camp Experience
Mrs. Erica Weaver brings a wealth of wisdom, warmth, and experience to the Prevail Edventures family. With over 27 years in education, she has served students and families across elementary and middle school levels, championing both academic excellence and whole-child development.
Rooted in a legacy of educators—her father a history teacher turned minister, her mother a retired business education teacher, and her sister a former school administrator—Erica continues the family tradition of shaping young minds with passion and purpose.
A proud alumna of North Carolina A&T State University, Erica holds both her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Elementary Education, and recently completed her Principal Certification through Appalachian State University. Her commitment to lifelong learning and leadership is evident in every space she enters.
Erica’s love for teaching extends beyond the classroom. She has presented to local schools on the power of family engagement in reading and was recently invited to teach rising 3rd–5th graders at a STEAM camp hosted by her alma mater, NC A&T. Her ability to connect with students and parents alike makes her a trusted voice in education.
As Site Director for our Back-to-School Summer Camp Experience, Erica leads with joy, intentionality, and care—ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to shine.
When she’s not in the classroom, you can find her spending quality time with her husband Ty at the beach or in the mountains, reading a great book, shopping, or serving as an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She and her family are proud members of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC.
We are honored to have Mrs. Weaver leading our team as we prepare students for their best school year yet—the Prevail way.
